The tableware from Terrace House 2 is an important artifact used in the daily life of the wealthy and influential residents of Ephesus.

These tableware items help us understand the food culture and social structure of the Roman period. Various ceramic vessels, plates and cups show that the residents of this house had a sophisticated lifestyle.

Archaeological excavations have revealed that these tableware items were used not only for daily use but also for rituals and religious ceremonies. For example, interdisciplinary analyses of a votive pit found in Terrace House 2 show that in addition to ceramic vessels, other materials such as organic remains and animal bones were also found.
