ISFAS Marble Fair
Within the scope of the İsfaş Marble Fair, the Austrian Excavation House was visited with 30 architects visiting Ephesus from the USA. Under the guidance of Archaeologist Helmut Schwaiger, Coordinator of the Austrian Archaeological Institute, the Ephesus Archaeological Site and Serapeion Temple excavation area were visited. During the visit, the rich marble structures of Ephesus built in the ancient period were examined in detail. Information was provided about the city's marble resources and the use of this material, the architecture and cultural richness of the period. In addition, striking details about the daily life of the ancient period were shared through the carefully made wall paintings and mosaics in the terrace houses.| Start Date | : April 9, 2023 |
